Thanks to the generous donation of a local production company named "Faxel" we were able to distribute about 120 blankets to the community of Tamarindo which is located 3 hours outside the city of Guatemala is one of the most remote in this state. The journey there was an adventure as one third of the way was through rocky mountain paths which we hadn't anticipated (and which our vehicles were most certainly not suited for). But thankfully, our van and car made it there and back without breaking down and the rain didn't come until after the event was over and we were through the roughest part of the journey home. Along with the distribution of blankets we also entertained everyone with a puppet show which all seemed to enjoy and the giving out of toys and booklets to the children as well as blankets to the families.

Our core team of 4 was joined by about 20 young local youth who joine us along with 3 other close friends. A big thank you to all those who helped make this event possible!
